It’s the second season for Taiwanese designer Johan Ku to present his collection in Tokyo and it seems like his love for the movies manifests in his designs. After being inspired by Enter The Void, his AW 2012 collection is based on the French movie Trois Couleur: Bleu which is a part of a trilogy, written, produced and directed by Polish Krzysztof Kieslowski (gosh! I had a hard time writing the name and I hate that I don’t know how to write the exact phonetic letters). Anyways, the collection features the signature designs of Ku- rich in volume, knits, drapes and of course, the luminous pieces which, this time, is all blue. I specifically love the bottoms of the collections and how he played with their shapes. Some of them are leggings, drop crotch pants or a crossbreed of both on the left and right leg or the thighs and leg parts. And that glow-in-the-dark ink-blotted jacket is calling my name!!!
By the way, I learned my lessons when watching a Johan Ku show. It is important that, first, you don’t turn your flash on and second, be ready with your iPhone because it’s the only way you can capture the luminescent looks of his clothes. Ok! I’m stopping all the blah blahs. Here are some of the photos I took during the Johan Ku AW 2012 show.
